On February 16-18, 2017 Vilnius Business College representatives, Deimantė Vilcinskaite and Joana Lapkovskaja together with 2nd year students Anna Karelina and Yahor Belimenka participated at the 15th international specialized exhibition EDUCATION AND CAREER in Minsk, Belarus and presented VBC study programs and ongoing projects, including Unity in Diversity. VBC degree programs in Russian and/or English attracted lots of attention from the Belarusian youth, who are looking for opportunities to study in Lithuania and acquire European higher education diploma. The study programs Hospitality and Event Management and English and International Communication received the most attention. An interactive blended learning language course to be created in the frames of „Unity in Diversity” raised an interest among visitors: pupils, parents, teachers, and our partners from Belarusian State University.
On February 17 Deimantė was also invited to Gomel, where she had an opportunity to introduce the College degree programs and Unity in Diversity project to the local youth. In Gomel also new contacts with the Belarusian State Transport University were established.

On 15 February 2017 a workshop was held for adult learners at Turiba University to introduce the University staff with the learning program created in the project “Key Skills for the EU Hotel Staff”” http://esolams.si/elearning/.
The learners were Turiba staff members from various supporting departments such as Finance Department, Quality Department, Administrative Department, etc., who are not involved in teaching any subjects to students. Their language needs concern addressing clients in Latvian, English and Russian, communicating when necessary.
During this workshop the adult learners were also introduced with the aims of the project “Unity in Diversity” focusing on the benefits of the current project and what new features will be added to the project. The learners were especially glad about A1 English course that will be developed in spring-autumn period of 2017. And they were curious to pilot it.
