On 16 May, 2018 the project team of Turiba University – Prof. Ineta Luka, Evita Vecvagare, Sundars Vaidesvarans, Anda Komarovska and Liga Klavina organised a workshop for Turiba University profesors and lecturers – the teaching staff of tourism, management, business, law and other courses.
First, Prof. Ineta Luka gave an overview of the project and its outcomes. Second, Sundars Vaidesvarans introduced the teaching staff with the functioning principles of the Learning platform. Next, the workshop participants had a hands-on-experience in testing the language courses under the guidance of our team members. Most of the lecturers and professors tried English modules but some lecturers also tried German and Russian modules.
We received lots of positive comments and appreciation and the teaching staff found the project workshop very timely as they will be able to independently study in the summer holiday period and improve their language competence. They found the courses beneficial for all VET learners both for language learning and for acquiring certain professional knowledge and skills. We also got suggestions for improvements which we highly appreciate.
